Welcome to the Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University website and thank you for visiting. You will find all the information pertaining to our program here. We offer three programs, Paralegal Studies (AA and BA), Political Science (BA), and Public Administration (MPA). We also offer undergraduate minors in Political Science and Public Administration. Our classes are small so faculty and students can work closely together. Our full-time faculty hold doctorates in Political Science and Public Policy and Administration, and the Paralegal Studies faculty have JD degrees. At EKU, students are encouraged to participate in activities outside the classroom that relate to and build upon classroom learning. Political Science and Paralegal majors can choose from a wide variety of University clubs, teams, and programs. Some that relate directly to our majors include our award- winning Mock Trial Team, the Barrister’s Club, Young Democrats, and Young Republicans.
